I need a burden for souls Lord
don’t let me waste a day
when I could be talking Jesus
to help one find the way

when You have called me up to You
how many will I bring
will my life had made a difference
will any meet their King

my testimony is it strong
will others have this hope
can they see Jesus in my life
as I do daily cope

how many folks know I’m God’s child
or is it a surprise
when they find out I’m a Christian
they look with watchful eyes
____
does my conduct speak so loud
that others turn deaf ears
continuing among their sins
in bondage full of fear
____
Lord help me to be much bolder
I want my light to shine
help me tell of Your salvation
Your grace that’s so divine
____
time is precious it’s soon to end
as eternity draws near
I pray Your gospel will go forth
to each and every ear
